Emily Cohen, DPT

Physical Therapist

Emily Cohen, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at New York Medical College and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Rutgers University, graduating with honors at both institutions. She was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for the Allied Health Professions upon graduation from New York Medical College and spent two semesters as a Functional Human Anatomy Lab teaching assistant at Rutgers University. Emily has 5 years of experience in the field, treating patients of various pathologies ranging from post-op orthopedics, neurological/cardiovascular conditions, to acute and chronic pain from injury.

She has the most experience in outpatient orthopedics, but also has experience in subacute and home care settings, and has treated a wide range of patient populations including children, adults, and the geriatric population.

Emily utilizes a patient-centered approach, creating individualized programs specific to addressing each patients’ personal goals. Her treatment sessions include therapeutic exercise, modalities, and individualized manual techniques all with the intention of getting her patients back to full function and doing the things they love without pain!

When she is not treating, Emily enjoys biking, playing volleyball, roller skating, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
