Interventional Pain Management
The doctors at The Spine & Sports Health Center have been helping patients find pain relief for over a decade. We specialize in the non-surgical treatment of all types of neck, back, and joint pain. Patients come to us with pain complaints that they have been suffering with for sometimes years on end: chronic back problems, neck injuries from car accidents, sciatica, herniated and bulging discs, throbbing knee pain from too many hard workouts; you name it.
Our top interventional pain management specialists make it their number one priority to find a manageable plan for pain relief, through interventional pain management treatments. Instead of simply masking the pain, we do our best to “intervene” and manage the pain for you, while you are healing.
Advanced Interventional Pain Management Care
Our philosophy is that real pain relief always starts with the correct diagnosis. All of our physicians take the time to find the root cause of your pain, so that we can target it most effectively with minimally-invasive, advanced treatments and procedures.
We spend a lot of time and effort making sure that every patient’s program is specific to their individual needs. We have seen, from our years of experience, that this approach is what helps our patients find the pain relief they need, as quickly as possible.
When Should I See an Interventional Pain Management Specialist?
A lot of patients come to us when they are at their wit’s end, when they’ve tried over-the-counter medication, seen their primary care physician, tried to just “deal with it”. And unfortunately, many patients still have resigned themselves to a life with pain. We say, no more! Come see us if your pain makes it difficult to work, enjoy your favorite activities, focus on family or friends, keeps you up at night. Come see us if your pain interferes with your daily life at all!
Pain isn’t normal. So whether you’ve been suffering for years with a chronic condition or you’ve just experienced an injury, you should seek treatment. If you’re unsure whether or not we are the right place for you, schedule a free Q&A with our nurse practitioner, Angela. She can answer your questions and decide if we are the right facility for you.
Pain Management Techniques
Our interventional pain management specialists offer a range of modern and advanced treatment options, as alternatives to orthopedic surgery. These procedures are done on a same-day basis, typically in a surgical center (for the spine) and in-office (for joints like knees and shoulders). Below are the procedures most commonly performed by our doctors. Each physician has scheduled time during the week, and on Saturdays, to perform these procedures.
- Epidural Steroid Injections
- Facet Joint Blocks
- Facet Joint Radiofrequency Ablation
- Sacroiliac Joint Injections
- Spinal Cord Stimulation
- Nerve Blocks
- Hip Joint Injections
- Shoulder Injections
- Knee Steroid Injections
- Knee Hyaluronic Injections
- Trigger point injections
